The International Academy Filmmaking was born December 15, 2012, and was founded in Bologna in the presence of 15 heads of the major film schools worldwide. Founders: 1. Czech Republic – Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts, Prague FAMU 6. France-ENS Louis-Lumière Film School, Paris 7. Ireland-Huston School of Film & Digital Media 8. Israel – Tel Aviv University 9. The Portugal-Lisbon Theatre and Film School 10.Russia – The Moscow Film School 11.South Korea Yong-In University, Seoul 12.Sweden-Valand Film Academy, University of Gothenburg 13.United Kingdom-The London Film Academy LFA 14.USA – Syracuse University The International Academy of Film and a center for research, production and teaching that addresses the transformation of all components of the language and the media problems of his teaching. The city of Bologna was chosen as the venue for its established link with education, internationally recognized and evidenced by the presence of facilities for training, research and information such as the Bologna Cinematheque, the Sala Borsa, and the historical site of villa Salina Malpighi, unique tools to complete a training course. The project was founded and is directed by Gian Vittorio Baldi, film director and producer, winner of over 100 awards and accolades including two Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. He has produced more than 200 works, including films of Pasolini, Straub, Godard and Bresson. He has also worked on projects with Bernardo Bertolucci, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Marguerite Duras, Jorge Luis Borges and Carl Theodor Dreyer. The goal of the Academy and the creation of a graduate course taught by internationally recognized directors, for the best students, selected from the best schools and universities in the cinema world.
