Located on the south side of Richard Rogers’ masterplan for the reconversion of the former Officine Adige industrial site, this string of residential buildings is located along a central park and marks the urban front of the master plan. All of the buildings have been developed with the MABO prefabricated housing system with variations of the insulated concrete panel fronts. The social housing has a five floor comb plan with a linear building on the park and terraced fronts towards the city. The two lines of housing form two corner squares that open up the park to the surrounding neighborhood. The student housing is marked by two wings located at an angle with a cantilevered front. All the student rooms have loggias and the building front is punctuated by them. The hotel is characterized by tight rooms joined at couples by a shared bow- window that enlivens the front with projecting glass volumes. At the ground floor, large glazed fronts and greenery screens mark the common areas.
