The process of resource consumption-industrial production is presented as an open-cycle that must find a way to close to be sustained. The strategy supports reversing the direction of the process, by means of supra-reusing (upcycling) industrial infrastructures as technological means capable of projecting a socio-economic process of environmental production and dissemination over the territory. Reuse of industrial pollution now becomes the raw material consumption of new “ecosocial factories” that will return the natural resources that had been taken before. It aims to improve eroded areas and degraded by mining, restoring unstable and contaminated river ecosystems, propel social initiatives related to culture and endogenous resources, and open attraction mechanisms for “green” research and development initiatives in the region.

Starting small urban transformation processes in Irimo seems a low cost formula to develop a viral infection in industrial areas through mobility infrastructures (railway, rolling). These are territorial broadcast channels easily reversible to invest little energy and to spread alternative urban infections causing “mirror” effect of transformation to depleted industrial areas and an attraction mechanism to companies related to local resources.

The architecture should build a dormant infrastructural landscape with urban energy available for its manipulation and capable of absorbing elastically the times and changes of the social activity.

Collective actions will give specificity to the urban model through natural and artificial devices of urban colonization, being able to debug the landscape and, thus, creating favorable conditions for social cohesion at each position in space-time line.

Consequently emerges the necessity of an open source urban model extended to the other industrial areas. It is totally necessary dissociate the form from the function to build a support that assumes uncertainty and unexpected situations. There is not a pre-conceived function because the content is a liquid that evaporates and condenses according to the rhythms of social and economic processes.
The inherited dichotomies between city-architecture, public-private, exterior-interior must also be diluted. Divisions are impeding the true collective and associative field, and instead of grading it really fragmenting it. The urban model builds an “all available”, a “landscape-house” where the architecture should not establish barriers or divisions, but rather promote the association and the mutual agreement. Sharing and exchanging should be an option and not an obligation. The dissolution of boundaries and borders will address the current consciousness clung to the private sphere towards a new sense of respect and belonging of the collective field, becoming a territory held by and for all.
