In the last years, Studio Valle has developed prefabricated systems for the manufacturing of multiple story housing emploing new ecological and sustainable technologies that guarantee a Class A energy building by European standards. The main typical floor is 11,25 mt deep and can be divided in two transversal bays by a central longitudinal wall. Two longitudinal bays of 6,25 mt and 5,625 mt are able to form different kind of housing units by multiple subdivisions. The basic wood frame can be clad in wood boards, shingles and plaster. Also here, the basic shell can be integrated with balconies, loggias, solar and photovoltaic panels. The system can be used to construct residential complexes up to 5 storeys high, with common staircases and lifts, arranged in any type of layout: stand-alone buildings or buildings joined in a row, curtain or courtyard configuration. The extremely light weight of the system means the units can be built on a simple slab-on-ground foundation or on top of a below-grade parking structure. There are four finishes available for the outside walls: plaster on insulation cladding, horizontal timber boards, wood shingle or laminated panels.
