Refurbishment and extension of a family home in Wandsworth.
This project rebuilt and extended the rear of a family house, deepening and extending the basement, and making a large kitchen above which overlooks the garden. New steps connect the basement family room and kitchen to the garden.
The walnut ground floor of the original house is extended into the kitchen, and a walnut stair connects the kitchen to the basement below. The extension is clad in green-patinated zinc, and a large glazed sliding door hangs off the back of the house to provide a generous opening into the garden.
