This single-story house was designed for a family of four. I created one-room space, measuring 10465mm ×10920mm, without colmns and incorporated a wooden truss of the kind commonly used for agricultural building. After first producing this elevated infrastructure, I decided to create a physical sense of distance between the comfortable places in the space below. Due to the depth of the lot, I wasn’t able to create a physical sense of distance. I used the sence of distance as the section based on the semi-underground space created with the front line; and between privates spaces like the bedrooms and public spaces like the living room, I created a psycological sense of distance based on the difference in levels. I this work, I attempted to achieve an integration between my past experience and the necessities of the site.
