The project site is located in the VII° Town Hall of the city of Rome. The project are is a portion of the built-up area which is characterized by a wide variety of urban and architectural features. There are: - different types of buildings (villas, palaces and buildings) - many public green spaces abandoned - many private gardens and courtyards with lush plants - a striking railway infrastructure that creates a break in the urban fabric - a “non-system” of collective urban places often in decline During the project it was essential to keep in mind the historical importance (and structural mole) of the ancient Latin Walls, whose route runs along the entire surface of the scope. The guideline of the project was the idea of managing the rhythm of the area: the district looked like as a chaos of vehicles, people, vegetation and items of furniture. Our idea was the propose of reorder the area through a non-invasive diffuses interventions. The key point were the reorganization of mobility also with the insertion of electrical cycling connections to achieve better social and environmental amenities, always taking into account the economic aspects. Other base points were the strengthening of the identify of public spaces through a specific and eco-friendly furniture and the reorder of trees and parking areas. Going into the specifics of the projects were chosen two goals: Gallia street and Tuscolo square. Gallia street-we are on an axis intensely interested by cars and pedestrian flows. There are several commercial services on ground floor of the buildings that in this section are high from 4 to 6 floors. The existing trees (native type) are heterogeneous in size and positioning shed, the project provide to repositioned trying to keep the largest number of existent examples. Reprogramming the parking areas we have increased the permeability of the area through the use of self-locking perforated recycled material and inserting shrub vegetation between park and side walk. Actually the only element of identification of the street is the vegetation, the project proposes the insertion of lighting and seating studied to make Gallia street a point of identify in the neighborhood. For the pedestrian walkways has been proposed the use of Pavegen flooring, which provides electricity for the lighting of the street, and Active tiles that serve the active capture of NOx and so there are higly sustainable by improving the environmental quality of the area. Tuscolo square-currently it looks like a big intersection and has no paved area for pedestrian and no trees or vegetation. The project has the desire to create a space on human scale through the better reorganization of the places. The dimension of the square proposed is of 1100m2 pedestrian only. There will be a tied with bike path and the terminus of an electrical shuttle that serve the district
