Il nuovo complesso Redtory è composto da una serie di volumi e spazi funzionalmente diversificati che definiscono unitariamente un luogo per lo sviluppo e la promozione di attività artistiche e culturali. Il vecchio Silo industriale è stato trasformato in una galleria espositiva e sul lato est un nuovo edificio ospita laboratori d’arte e spazi per workshops. A ovest i due edifici esistenti sono stati ampliati sul fronte al fine di migliorarne la connettività e così essere maggiormente funzionali ai fini educativi ed amministrativi. Buona parte dell’area è coperta da una struttura metallica reticolare e modulare rivestita con vetro fotovoltaico trasparente che produce energia pulita attraverso la potenza solare che assorbe. Parte di questa energia è riutilizzata dal complesso stesso e la rimanente può essere adoperata dalla comunità per ricaricare automobili e biciclette elettriche attraverso i punti di ricarica previsti sui lati nord e ovest. Sul lato sud, infine, è stato realizzato un lungo muro rosso come lo spirito Redtory che protegge il complesso dai rumori provenienti dall’ampia strada che corre lungo il fiume. The new Redtory complex is composed by a number of functionally different buildings and spaces. The old industrial Silo has been turned into an exposition gallery, and a new facility has been added to provide areas for workshops and art laboratories. The existing buildings are enlarged on the fronts so they can be used for educational and administration pourposes. Most of the site has been covered by a photovoltaic transparent glass roofing that produces clean and free energy thanks to the solar power. Part of this energy can be used by the complex itself, and the remaining can be given to public through recharging points for cars and bycicles. A big red wall on the south side of the area protects the site by the noise coming from the large street that runs along the river.
