The design choice is not born of the desire to create a new pole infrastructured no relationship with the city and its problems, but is rather the result of a research aimed at improving the usability of urban space, for both the citizen and the visitor, and at the same time the realization of spatial typologies of which the city is currently lacking. The clash of the natural elements with rigid lines and materials of the urban world creates spaces ranging from gardening to botanical garden in the city park and articulate human activity changing the background, now with the water, now with the vegetation, now with the cement. Finally these places so flexible and unstructured, are literally invaded by a sign that develops along them culminating in a stylized flame that contains in it the concept of “sea port” connoting the landmark of the city and reminding those arriving by sea when in a time not far the warm color of fire meant home.
