Realizzazione di un allestimento per una mostra fotografica temporanea come prima tappa di una rassegna fotografica organizzata dall’Associazione “La Città Invisibile”. La Mostra prevede l’esposizione di 10 scatti effettuati da Michele Mascalzoni, architetto e fotografo, intorno al bastione cinquecentesco delle Boccare.

Construction of a temporary set-up for a photo exhibition as the first meeting of a photographic exhibition organized by “La Città Invisibile”. The exibition features 10 shots from Michele Mascalzoni, architect and photographer, around the sixteenth century bastion of Boccare.

La città di Verona è patrimonio di eccellenze architettoniche ammirate in tutto il mondo, ma conserva anche elementi di grande interesse storico-artistico oggi sconosciuti ai suoi stessi abitanti. Tra questi assume particolare interesse il torrione denominato Rondella delle Boccare, situato lungo la cinta muraria che si attesta su via Ippolito Nievo, tra i quartieri di Valdonega e San Giorgio, attualmente non direttamente accessibile al pubblico. La Rondella rinascimentale condensa elementi di storia militare, tecnica ingegneristica e riferimenti all’architettura romana che ne attestano l’eccellenza: la stessa forma toroidale dello spazio interno, alla luce delle grandi aperture denominate “boccare”, si presenta all’osservatore come un “unicum” .” Dalle aperture tutte scende nel vasto sotterraneo una luce chiara che diffondendosi per la volta e per le pareti rotonde ci dà l’impressione non saprei se più di una scena teatrale o di un sogno…”- secondo le parole del Da Lisca.

Il primo evento della rassegna “La Citta’ Invisibile” ha luogo non a caso in questo sito così suggestivo ed emblematico: l’indagine fotografica si propone di riportarlo all’attenzione della pubblica opinione, per rilanciare le idee e le proposte per una pubblica riappropriazione, scaturite dalla comunità’ e dalle associazioni locali.

The city of Verona is an heritage of architectural excellence admired all over the world , but also retains elements of great historical and artistic interest today unknown to its own inhabitants. Among these is of particular interest the tower called Rondella delle Boccare, located along the wall which stands on Via Ippolito Nievo, between the districts of Valdonega and San Giorgio , which is currently not directly accessible to the public . The Rondella of renaissance origin condenses elements of military history , engineering technology and Roman architecture references that attest its excellence: the same toroidal shape of the interior space , in the light of the large openings called “boccare ”, is presented to the observer as an “unicum”. ” From all openings down into the vast underground bright light that spread to the vault and the walls round gives us the impression I do not know if more than a stage or a dream … ” – in the words of Da Lisca.

The first event of the series “La Città Invisibile ” takes place not by chance on this site so charming and emblematic: the photographic investigation aims to bring it to the attention of public opinion to revive the ideas and proposals for a public reappropriation , resulting from the communities and local associations.
